Okay...since I am the one who more or less took us off-topic
here -- with Ken's help and encouragement, of course -- I
will also take the responsibility of trying to get us back on
track, before this conversation really goes way out of orbit!

I honestly don't know how many Macintosh VLC users there are
on this list, but if there are any of you who need help, I am
willing to offer you assistance, as my time permits, just as
I have been doing on the VideoLan.org messageboard in the Mac
OSX troubleshooting forum...when my time permits.

Please keep in mind, however, that currently, I use VLC on a
27" 2.8 GHz Quad Core i7 iMac. The reason why I am mentioning
this, is because if you run VLC on a lot earlier machine, or
on a Mac that I am not familiar with, I may not be able to
help you.

Also, if anyone asks anything which suggests that you are
doing "naughty things" with VLC, ahem, please understand that
I will refrain from responding. Just so you know. I don't
want to be responsible for encouraging piracy and such.
