[vlc] saving graphic equalizer settings

To the VLC list,

I would like please to know, is there any way of saving the graphic
equalizer settings, such that one does not need to configure the
settings each time a new VLC session starts?

I access the graphic equalizer through the menu Tools / Effects and
Filters / Audio Effects. I am using VLC media player 1.1.0 on
Windows XP.
