[vlc] urgent advice please

Hello!

Ive loved VLC since I first tried it out: I have yet to find anything it wont play.
However,I ant work out how to use it properly (e.g play a whole album), or how to organise music albums into some sort of media playing system - like iTunes (which I hate) but less pushy and easier to play. I think I want to find out how VLC can be a media jukebox. Please wiil you direct me to your own as I failed to find anything. Incidently, if you happen to know of a book on how to use it (VLC for dummies?) I think Id get along better with that.
