[vlc] can't play some mms source

hi all,
   i worked in ubuntu 9.04,and i installed the vlc 1.06,but when i input
the mms://221.12.42.160:1080/ztv3 to the "open media-->open network
stream",i got the info "no data recevied". but when i input the address
to the media player in the window xp, i found it woked ok. so i want to
know if there is anyone know the reason,or who have some way to reslove
it, thanks very much!
