[vlc] Reg: VLC media player support for iPhone 3G

Hi Anand,

we tested the VLC for iOS port internally on iPhone 3G devices and
found that these are too slow to play virtually any video file. Even
with my iPhone 3GS, there are quite a few non-HD videos which won't
play correctly since VLC cannot use the hardware acceleration used by
QuickTime. This is due to an API limitation. Since Apple doesn't allow
apps to use non-official (read non-public and partially unstable)
APIs, there is no way for us to provide a useful version for the
iPhone 3G or the 2nd Generation iPod touch.
