[vlc] VLC problem

 Hello.
I really like the VLC player, and I think that's the best media player of all, but I have got a problem with it for a few weeks.
I play any video or music, and if I stop it, or close it, my computer freezes down, so I can only reset or shutdown my pc.
I tried using antivirus, fixing bad sectors, but didn't reinstall the windows yet. I tried reinstall the VLC or install an older version but the problem is the same.
What can I do?
