I can assure you that the delay in the sound signal is not due to the
length of the cable.  The signal will travel down the cable at the
speed of light (approx 300000000 m/s) so will take approx 0.05
microseconds to travel along your 15m cable.  It would take virtually
the same time if it were a copper cable.

I think you must look elsewhere for the loss of sync.
