[vlc] buggy subtitle display

  the newest vlc player (v1.1.10) is buggy in displaying chinese subtitles. I guess the situation would be the same for non-western languages.
  symptoms: the subtitle will only show if a certain font is chosen (DFKai-SB for chinese). This is ridiculous. BTW, the name of this font has the acronym SB in it. 
  In Colloquial Chinese, SB means "Silly Bitch", that's an awesome name for the font!
  
  Thoeretically, any (complete) unicode font should display all the unicode characters, so to solve the bug, you should have a default font that can display UNICODE characters in ANY language. At least on Windows, there are numerous such fonts available.
