[vlc] .idx file problem

Hello,

I've been trying to use an .idx subtitle file, while watching an .avi format
movie, but with no success. Both the previous version (1.1.7) and the new
one (1.1.8) give me the same error and are unable to open the subtitle file,
which is vital for me in order to watch the movie.
Here is the exact error the player gives the moment I try to load the .idx
file:

 - File reading failed:

VLC could not open the file "F:\Video\Movies\Arn The Last
Templar\Arn.The.Knight.Templar.2007.DVDRip.XviD-FRAGMENT\CD2\arn.the.knight.templar.cd1.2007.dvdrip.xvid.fragment.sub".

VLC can't recognize the input's format:

The format of
'file:///F:/Video/Movies/Arn%20The%20Last%20Templar/Arn.The.Knight.Templar.2007.DVDRip.XviD-FRAGMENT/CD2/arn.the.knight.templar.cd1.2007.dvdrip.xvid.fragment.idx'
cannot be detected. Have a look at the log for details.

I'm running the player on a 64bit Windows 7 OS, and the current VLC version
that I'm using (as mentioned above) is the latest 1.1.8 .

Can you please tell me if the problem lies with the file itself or is it the
player? If it is the player what can I do to fix it?

If you require any aditional information, that I've forgotten to include
please tell me what it is and I'll send it to you. I've also included a
screenshot of the error.

Thank you very much in advance,

Veselin
