Hi all,

I am using VLC to accept an incoming video stream and to play it. The stream is sent using a streamer which is written by myself using ffmpeg. The streamer transcodes mpeg2 to mp4 which is put into ts container.

But my problem is lots of audio packet were lost while video also lost several frames, i. e. Decoded 3900 blocks, Played 3900 buffers, Lost 793 buffers. I found these information through the tools->media information->statistics. As a result, the audio was played intermittently. So I want to know what has happened.

I streamed and received the video in the same computer. So it is impossible the problem was caused by network situation. I think it was caused by inappropriate sending speed. But I want to know my sending is too fast or too slow.

Another: If I receive the stream using VLC on another computer running windows7, then the audio and video data almost no loss. I am really confusing.

Does anyone have any idea?

Best regards,

Li
