I am happy to announce version the first official release of a few
new network tools :
* miniVLANserver :
- it is a replacement of the previously released VLANserver.
- it has a few less feature but is more robust and more simple.
- it is still a bit Ecole Centrale Paris - specific, but is
very useful if your network does not support multicast but
does support well VLANs.
* miniVLCS :
- it only sends a string to the vlc according to the desired channel
- useful when first implementing multicast
* vlb-linux :
- in order to make VLAN communicates
- this software is a patch to be applied to the briding module
of the linux kernel (2.4.x, x>=10 works well)
- it contains a patch to the brctl utility in order to configure
easily the vlanbridge features.
All these software are of course released under the GPL license.
