Hello
At the end i succeed in making a good use of the multicast with vls
and vlc.
Thanks for bozo for his patch concerning the ttl.
It work great except the fact i have to replace IP_TTL by IP_MULTICAST_TTL
in src/modules/netchannel/netoutput.cpp:130.
as is it stated in his mail.
I launch two feed
one with ttl 1 was only visible on the local network and the other
with a ttl of 2 was visible one hop further.
Moreover with the multicast version of vlcs it was quite perfect.
I launch 3 feeds and i had no problem to change of channel.
Windows users were a bit jealous of linux users as the windows vlc
client didn t work but i guess that s life :)
