which kernel are you running 2.4.18 ?

Check if you have a "margi" driver in your /lib/modules/2.4.18. It is in
/lib/modules/2.4.18/kernel/drivers/video/margi (if I remember
correctly). This will conflict with the drivers from linuxtv.org
(Dvb-0.9.4) because of a naming conflict.

What actually happens is that drivers for DVB-S reception are loaded
from the margi directory instead of your DVB-0.9.4 driver. But because
the margi is a PCMCIA video camera card it is of course not detected and
bails out. Taking all other loaded DVB drivers with it.
