I not very happy with the Ubuntu Dapper comments there. The Dapper vlc version 
is certainly antique. But it is (supposed to be) maintained (by Ubuntu), 
whereas we do not provide maintained vlc binaries for Dapper. And, the whole 
point of Dapper nowadays is Long Term Support.


More generally, our repositories sucks. Whenever we drop support for the 
previous versions, we screw those people who've ever added our repositories 
instead of the official Debian/Ubuntu ones.
