[x264-devel] question : B-SKIP

I want to know B-SKIPs...
 
B-SKIP size is 16 x 16 in X264.
Is it possible that the B-SKIP size is 8x8 ?
 
example)
 
Current scheme
=> B-SKIP (A and B and C and D )
+----+-----+
+ A + B  +
+----+-----+
+ C + D  +
+----+-----+
 
Modifed scheme
=> B-SKIP ( A or B or C or D) & other method (16x8, 8x16, 8x8)
