A B-Skip block in a B Slice is a direct block without any coffiecient.
And for direct Mode it is allowed to use 16x16 and 8x8 block sizes.
So it is possible to have a 8x8 B-Skip block.

Sven

I want to know B-SKIPs...
B-SKIP size is 16 x 16 in X264.
Is it possible that the B-SKIP size is 8x8 ?
example)
Current scheme

+----+-----+
+ A + B +
+----+-----+
+ C + D +
+----+-----+
Modifed scheme
=> B-SKIP ( A or B or C or D) & other method (16x8, 8x16, 8x8)
Thanks
Best regards
Bae
