[x264-devel] Re: how can i get the latest x264 source code in zip/rar format?

Speaking of packaged versions of x264, it's not because
there isn't yet a stable version which to package.

I wonder if there are any plans to make one?
For me x264 feels quite stable and useful.
I wonder what are the biggest showstoppers
preventing a stable release?

I would expect it to increase users quite a lot.
