The largest resolution allowed by any of the Levels in the standard is 
4096x2304. x264 ignores levels, and will encode any size at all. (Of 
course, at extreme enough resolutions there are going to be arithmetic 
overflows somewhere, but you'll probably run out of memory before that.)
