Hello,

firsy, I have to say that I'm not well involved in the "Open Graphics
Project". For the persons that don't know what the "Open Graphics PRoject"
is:

the "Open Graphics Projeect" is a project to create an gpu (videocard) that is
very open: bsd-drivers, open specification, ... If you want to know more, you
can have a look at their project-page, mailinglist, ... which can be
discovered from their homepage, which is located at
http://wiki.duskglow.com/tiki-index.php?page=Open-Graphics.

So far the introduction. I'm writing to this lit, because at the open
graphic's mailinglist people are discussing video-acceleration (playback).
There was also some mention of some basic primitives that could be
accelerated and used for multiple codecs. As far as I know, it is important
that there aren't any patent-issues.
So, I'm posting this mail here because maybe some people here are interested
in giving there input on the Open graphic's mailinglist.

Greetings and thank you for the nice codec,

Michel
