Hi,

I have spent the last five or so hours searching the web and various forums to find out about x264 constant bitrate. I have read a lot of posts and some contradict others and this has left me totally confused and also with an unsure understanding of CBR.

I am trying to create a low bitrate video file for hardware that requires CBR. What options need to be set to achieve CBR? Also just so you know I am trying to encode the files at 320x240 and lower and with a video bitrate of 50kpbs. The videos will also be muxed in MPEG2 transport stream (which adds an overhead), if you have any tips on how to minimise the TS overhead I would be most grateful. The videos have to have the smallest possible filesize because they are being sent over a high cost link.
