[x264-devel] x264 with 8-bit grayscale input ?

Hi,
The only relevant x264 option is --no-chroma-me, which will give you a
small speed boost.

Otherwise, just ensure your chroma channels are really empty (ie, not
full of low-level noise from any pre-encoding filters you apply) and
you'll be fine.
