[x264-devel] H.264 aspect

Hi,

just a simple question:

Are H.264 capable playback devices required to honor the given aspect
factor?


(I've used the aspect with earlier versions of mp4 and had trouble since
it was supported on all Linux software players, but none of my
mp4-capable TVs, bluray-players displayed them correctly. Now with
H.264, all Linux players and the iPad seem to use the factor, but not my
Western Digital HD TV Live streamer... )
