[x264-devel] Quetions about MPEG2 encoder

We will be evaluating the MPEG2 and have a few questions:

1) Does it support 1-pass CBR and VBR and 2 pass VBR?

2) Does it support 4:2:2 in addition to 4:2:0?  

3) Progressive and interlaced?

4) How sophisticated is the rate control?  Does the quantizer change at the
slice level based on complexity or only at the picture level?

5) Will the licensing be similar to x264, i.e. GPL and commercial?

6) Where would I find the list of outstanding development issue, to see if
there's anything we can contribute?
