[x264-devel] branching/git question

Hello!

I didn’t see a dev FAQ for x.264, so apologies in advance if this is out of line or place… but I’m looking at trying some tweaks to the encoder and was wondering if the master branch HEAD should always be stable or if there was some sort of labelling or out of band marking of the more stable releases of the source.
