[x265] x265 0.8+247 (new XP compat.) crashes in single thread mode

x265 version 0.8+246-3f78e639d9ce works correctly in single-threaded mode,
therefore the bug really is caused by commit 1410caf.

I tested a bit in a VirtualBox and found that v0.8+149 (last XP compatible  
build before introducing the new threading model) works on an Unicore CPU  
in Windows XP SP3, but 0.8+247 (one 32 bit build which compiles in MSYS  
with WINXP_SUPPORT enabled again) reports disabled parallelism and using  
single thread mode, but then crashes when starting to encode. Setting the  
virtual machine to have at least 2 cores, encoding starts.

But well ... noone should want to work in single thread mode; version  
0.8+149 worked with less than 1 fps in preset ultrafast with a 640x272  
video.
