Wow, that was fast! It took me weeks to get amr_nb (amr) streaming work with
recompiling vlc the last time I tried it ...
In fact, I got the same results: horrible sound in qtplayer and no sound in
realplayer mobile (video was ok in both cases).
Also, I could not compile vlc with amr_wb (samr), which allows higher
samplerates, bitrates and stereo sound. I bet it's not a great experience to
listen to your mp3's in amr_nb quality ;)
Did you try to compile it with amr_wb? Maybe that's worth another try...
Regarding the http-streaming, did you enter the full url to the sdp-file (
e.g. http://myserver:port/my.sdp) or only the host:port part? And did the
http-streaming of mp4/aac work on the pc?
