I don’t know, yet. And even if it will be announced, it may be delayed.
The more important information will be:
For the desktop version, we do not include languages that are mostly not translated to the language selector.
So far the required percentage is (at least) 30% should be translated.
If you only want to test your translations locally, this might work:
Create a .mo file from the .po file (for example poedit should be able to do so).
Install vlc (probably a nightly build), and overwrite one of the existing .mo file with yours.
Now pick the replaced language and you should see your translation in action. (example: if you replaced “de.mo” you will have to pick “Deutsch”)
We might provide an easier way for this use case, some day.

That’s right and was the intended behaviour.

The menus and the two main pages given earlier (which both contain the menus) are completely translated. So far, there is no more localized content on the website.

And I had already updated the page again (at the time you wrote the second email). As I said, there normally is no need to notify me about updates on transifex.
If you are satisfied with the review of the website and think your translation is perfect and good to go, mail me.
