I don't really see what you want to do on a G3 - there is no vector 
unit like in the G4 or PII. Maybe you can just try to optimize gcc's 
asm output of the C IDCT functions, but hey, hrm, good luck :-). Does 
Apple DVD player work on your G3 ?
