I'm interested in that. I'm working in a project
where we are trying to get video-conference tools into
VR worlds. I already got vlc to work our OpenGL
environment (hacking the X11 renderer, and using the
output to texture memory). Works great.
On a parallel track, I started to use RTPlib fron
Bell-Labs, to get a replacement for VIC/RAT tools.
I'd would interested into a effort to get audio/videos
codecs from video-conference systems into vlc.
