vlc gnome and gtk themes

one mdk user reported me this bug. i can reproduce here.

The only remaining glitch is that the gnome-vlc client does not respect my gtk

and I do not have pixmaps in widgets. The files (parts of the GTK theme) are
there and are world readable, any other GTK app works OK.
But I guess this is a bug in vlc, not packaging fault.
