[vlc-devel] Re-initializing the decoder to avoid fast / slow playback

Hello, all ...
So i've been looking at how the decoder FIFO is fed (input_EscapeAudioDiscontinuity() and it's ilk).
I'm wondering if I can, after a ff / rewind action, do something that will result in the client VLCs
decoder being reinitialized -- even if audio playback would be delayed for a bit. I'm basically
trying to make it so that VLC never alters the playback speed of the audio it's fed, as an
experiment. Can someone point me to some of this code, or give me a clue?
Regards,
John
