It is a little clumsy alright. There is an easier way if you're comfortable
with the command line:

       --rtsp-tcp, --no-rtsp-tcp  Use RTP over RTSP (TCP) (default disabled)


Some other options:

  live.com (RTSP/RTP/SDP) demuxer
       --rtsp-tcp, --no-rtsp-tcp  Use RTP over RTSP (TCP) (default disabled)
       --rtsp-caching <integer>   Caching value (ms)
       --rtsp-kasenna, --no-rtsp-kasenna
                                  Kasenna RTSP dialect (default disabled)
