I would say that inconsistent playlist behaviour would indeed be a blocker.
Come to think of it, for 1.0 I'd want working sorting and/or at least a
default sort that matches the default on the system (IE alphabetic or
rather LC_COLLATE order on the file name at least on unix -- yes I know
it's the shell that does this) with a first item of either current or the
first in the list. Just tossing the files in the list and picking a random
one to start isn't merely annoying.
