Some of the changes may be bogus and should removed. Some of the changes may
be due to non-atomic notifcations, and could probably be fixed with
significant efforts in VLC (help is welcome).
But ultimately, meta informations do change depending on the kind of stream.
It can take a while for the meta informations to be available. In some cases,
not all will become available at the same time. And in some cases, they will
change during playback (e.g. Internet radios).
So it seems you are trying to solve an impossible problem. I don't see how
polling will help then. So I guess you're trying to wait until some time
without any changes to the meta data instead of solving an impossible problem.
But polling does not strike me as the correct way to achieve that either.
