[vlc-devel] What could cause VLC to freeze?

Hi,

This sounds that the complete Ubuntu is freezing?! Are you sure that its triggered by VLC?
I have experienced several instabilities with ubuntu 12.04, lately, so I would be not surprised if another component within ubuntu is the fault.
