I don't know what problem you have so I don't know what the best approach
is. I have never had a problem with the current setup, except for 2.1.0
being mislabelled as 1.3.0. The *-git tag is not strictly necessary. I only
made it to improve the version name in the builds.
In any case, there should be at least one 2.1.0-pre* tag in vlc.git,
possibly more depending when the branch is started(*). I don't want
1.3.0-git to remain the latest tag there.
(*) Personally, I have no immediate need to thaw vlc.git. Maybe someone
else has.
