That discussion has already been had months ago and the topic is closed. More 
importantly, the Lua interface has caused regressions and maintenance issues 
for over a decade. You've had plenty of time to fix it.

As does the Lua interface.

Meanwhile the switch to Lua caused regressions that were not addressed for 
over a decade.

Whose vision? Antoine never completed the Lua interface and left years ago.

All other interfaces are implemented in the C language family, except the HTTP 
one - which also still has decade-long regressions over the original C 
interface.
