Very jittery video - any solutions?

   If the vlc window says XVideo, then you can be sure it's using the
XVideo extension.

   Current main branch in CVS has a few things broken but will give you
better performances. You may want to have a try at it.

   Well, XVideo is one of the greatest accelerations you may get out of
a video card for DVD decoding.
