Strangely, it doesn't appear that anything in either the plugins/kde or 
plugins/qt directories were compiled.  At all.

I originally said "interesting" because what's supposed to happen isn't 
what's happening.  :)  Even when that's passed on to configure, and even when 
Make is explicitly told to use gcc-2.95.3, I still get the same errors about 
an illegal inline limit.
