Mac OSX Port (vlc-0.2.83)

OSX Port:

Vlc Team,

I've finally worked out, and successfully built vlc 0.2.83 on Mac OSX 
10.0.4 : ) however, the application seems unresponsive : (

On opening the vlc.app the following message is shown in the console:
VideoLAN Client - version 0.2.83 Ourumov - (C)1996-2001 VideoLAN

Fine so far....

but when I select File>Open, a file selection window comes up, I select 
my file (i've tried encypted & unencrypted .vob's, .mpegs, .mov's, 
.dv's ) and nothing happens even after I select Control>Play. Nothing 
else is added to the console either.

Also, File>New Viewer Window is disabled before and after selecting the 
file.

I tried using the command from the terminal ( ./vlc my_move.mpeg) but 
that doesn't work either.

Please help me, I've been waiting so long for DVD on Mac OSX......and 
thankyou very much in advance....
