vlc + em8300 (H+) ?

Hello all,...

...just out of curiosity: Is there any way to run the vlc on GNU/Linux for
watching DVDs of all kind using the hardware accelerated video handling of
a Hollywood+ card and the em8300 driver ( dxr3.sourceforge.net )? Would be
interesting to see whether this is working, at all, and, if so, how to get
it set up.
