Which version of vlc is best for Mandrake 8.1?

the latest cooker rpm is 0.2.92-2mdk. it is better if you can recompile it for
your machine.
BTW the cvs is working fine with mdk 8.1, just use the vlc.spec to generate
all the needed rpm.
If you encours pbs with those solution, i can recompile rpm for 8.1 if you want.
