[vlc] File type from DVD

Hi all;
 
I streamed my DVD to a file on the local disk (stream.ts) hoping that I
could using it for the playback, and it worked. A file was created and
everything seemed OK.
 
However, when I tried to playback the same file, it does not work properly.
So I am wondering if anyone knows what format this stream.ts file is in (I
was assuming that it is a Mpeg2-TS file).
