Hi,

I have successfully compiled vlc 0.5.3 on Suse 8.1. When I call vlc with
- --vout x11 all works ok. But with xvideo I get a black window of the correct
size. I think it would be better to use xvideo since I expect it to use less
resources. But I have no idea what to do.

I have already searched the list archive a little but without result.

xdpyinfo says I have XVideo. I'am using an ATI Radeon Mobility M7 graphics
controller and XFree86 4.2.0.

BTW, where can I find information about the various video output devices? What
ist the difference between XVideo, x11, sdl, svgalib, etc.?

Many thanks,
Torsten
