Hi. I am trying to cross-compile vlc-0.7.1 for arm, I am using iPAQ
H3800. I amtrying to target a very basic vlc, which writes directly to
framebuffer and supports mpeg2

I used the following configuration options

$ /Projects/vlc-0.7.1/configure --host=arm-linux --target=arm-linux
--disable-plugins --disable-gtk --disable-gnome --disable-qt
--disable-kde --disable-qte --disable-xosd --enable-fb --disable-sdl
--enable-x11 --disable-xvideo --disable-dvd --disable-dvdread
--disable-vcd --disable-freetype --disable-mad --disable-ffmpeg
--srcdir=/Projects/vlc-0.7.1 --with-tuning=strongarm1100
--x-includes=/usr/local/arm/2.95.3/arm-linux/usr/X11R6/include/X11/
--x-libraries=/usr/local/arm/2.95.3/arm-linux/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/
--disable-libmpeg2 LDFLAGS=-L/usr/local/arm/2.95.3/arm-linux/lib
CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/local/arm/2.95.3/arm-linux/include/

I think it wasn't able to compile X11 support and also disabled ffmpeg
since I produce an error when I compile with it

I was able to compile a binary and downloaded it to iPAQ.

I ran the client with

# ./vlc -vvvv udp:

I wasn't able to see an image on the display. I attached the error log
file.

Please help me figure out what is going wrong.

Many thanks

Mildred
