[vlc] incorrect video duration

Hi, i'm using vlc to play mpeg-ps files i recorded with mythTV...
everything works fine but the duration of the clip is incorrect.
For example a clip of 5 mins is displayed as a clip of 3 mins and 37
secs, note that opening the same clip whith another viewer (real
player for ex.) gives the correct duration. However, the clip is all
played (i mean, in vlc too)!
any clue?
