Have you tried specifying the XPIDL location as environment variable? 
What worked for me is:

export XPIDL=/usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.6/xpidl
export XPIDL_INCL=-I/usr/share/idl/mozilla-1.7.6/

Of course this depends on your mozilla installation.
