[vlc] Strange behaviour on vlc-0.8.2, issue not present in previous version

Hello.

I tried to watch a DivX videoclip in the newest release of VLC 
on my somewhat old laptop (AMD-533MHz/192 MB RAM) but the video
seriously flickers. The issue is not present in the previous
version of VLC.

I attach the debug output (Both programs were clean installed 
via the zip files. No special options were adjusted but nevertheless
all expeert options were looked up so that there is nothing
different in the configuration/)

Any ideas?
