Well, the forum post you are refering to is about a windows issue. VLC
0.8.1 should work with a PVR 350 on linux. There seem to be an issue
with the setup of the pvr... Could you send us the result of vlc -vvv,
just in case ? Otherwise, you should have a look at the setup utils
provided with the ivtv package... you might need to tune some
parametters of the card...
