hi

i tried to play a dvd using the command line
vlc --aout alsa dvd://

and using the rc interface .. i get stereo sound .. i use " adev 6 " to
invoke 6 channel and i get the following errors

and i still  get stereo sound

im using

vlc 0.8.4 -test
kernel 2.6.13 alsa drivers
debian sarge 3.1

i really would like to get 6 channel sound ..
